If the directors of this film didn’t prove to me they had heart with their fun zombie flick UNDEAD, I would be very fearful about this film Lionsgate is about to throw at us.
On January 8, 2010, Ethan Hawke, Sam Neill, Willem Dafoe and Claudia Karvan will star in the horror/action film Daybreakers. A plague has transformed almost every human being on earth into a vampire. A team’s chance of survival weighs in the balance of a highly growing demand for blood versus almost obsolete human numbers. Ethan Hawke is set to play a researcher working with a covert group of vampires to help save the human race. Judging by the sound of things and the look of the teaser poster, I’d say we could be watching 28 Days of Night, Later. So far though, the cast looks great. Even if Lionsgate plans on making a callage of things I enjoy, at least we have good actors making a unique spirit to a familiar face. I am interested Lionsgate. Let the Spierig Brothers do their thing. It could be awesome.
